| Modules
of Routemate Routemate can be
configured adding to the basic module a set of modules, that the user can choose on the
basis of his needs.
- Basic Module.
- Operational Constraints.
- Road Map Editing.
- Optimization.
- Transit Platforms.
- pricing Policies.
- Dinstance and Time Matrix.
- Geographic Areas.
- User Distances.
Modulo Base
Some of its functions are:
- Computation of shortest paths among two or
more places;
- Import/Export of routes and orders with the
company information system;
- Evaluation of the cost of imported routes;
- Manual planning and optimization of each
single route.
Operational Constraints
All main
real-world constraints are managed, for example: time windows, vehicle objections, drivers
working time, compartmented vehicles, pickup and delivery, etc.
Road Map Editing
Routemate uses its own road digital
network, in order to compute distances and travel times. The user can customize the map,
modifying, adding and removing locations and roads.
Optimization
Operational routes are produced by advanced optimization algorithms,
designed to consider real-world constraints and requirements.
Transit Platforms
It is possible to decide whether to directly serve a customer or to make
use of transit platforms associated to him. Routemate computes distributions costs from
depots to platforms and from platforms to customers.
Pricing Policies
The cost of a route
can be computed according to different pricing policies, based on kilometers, weights,
etc.
Dinstance and Time Matrix
The user can generate a matrix specifying distances and travel times
between every pair of locations from a given list. Such matrix can be exported to the
information system.
Geographic Areas
The orders of a problem can be partitioned into geographic areas. Each
area so obtained defines a subproblem which can be solved using only the vehicles
associated with it.
User Dinstances
It is possible to
specify distances between pairs of locations different from those resulting from the road
network. |
